Encouragement for a 健康 Lifestyle

The University strives to provide a work environment that encourages all employees to lead healthy lifestyles and proactively work toward improving our health. We believe fitness is important for employees in achieving good health, 预防严重疾病, and better managing existing health conditions.

Prior to participating in any physical activities, please contact your Primary Care Physician for approval.

健康奖励计划

Review Cigna's 健康的奖励 program (PDF) 员工 who are enrolled in one of the three Cigna medical plans are eligible to participate in Cigna's 健康奖励计划. There are two ways employees can participate to earn a gift card.

  • Complete your annual physical and receive a $50 gift card.
  • If you are expecting, participate in Cigna's 健康y Pregnancies, 健康y Babies program.
    • If you enroll in the program during your first trimester and complete the program after delivery, you will receive a $100 gift card.
    • If you enroll in the program during your second trimester and complete the program after delivery, you will receive a $50 gift card.

As part of our dedication to promoting a healthy environment, UNE became a 100% tobacco-free and smoke-free campus in 2014. 

UNE’s policy makes all University campuses smoke and tobacco-free, including personal vehicles parked on UNE property. Smoking of tobacco or other substances and use of all tobacco products will not be permitted anywhere and anytime on the University campuses.
